Plumbing in Broadway, the way this town is actually built
Broadway sits up the north end of Rockingham County where the Shenandoah Valley starts to open out, and it runs different from a city. We make the drive west and south out of Front Royal, roughly an hour and change down Interstate 81, to handle water heaters, sewer lines, leaks, gas lines and full repipes for folks here.
If you have lived in Broadway any length of time you know the town is a mix. There is the old core off Main and Lee Street, frame houses and brick that go back generations, and then there are the newer subdivisions that have filled in around Plains District as families spread out from Harrisonburg looking for a little more room. Those two halves of town have completely different plumbing under the floor, and we treat them that way.
In the older houses we still pull galvanized steel supply line and the occasional run of original cast iron drain. Galvanized rusts shut from the inside, so a Broadway homeowner will call us because the water pressure in the upstairs bath has dropped to a trickle and they think it is the well or the town main. Nine times out of ten it is the pipe itself choking down, and the honest answer is a repipe in PEX or copper, not another fixture swap that will not fix anything.
The newer builds out toward the edges of town have their own story. Plastic supply line, modern fixtures, and water heaters that came with the house and are now hitting the end of a normal run. We are certified on most water heater brands, tank and tankless both, so when a unit in a ten or fifteen year old Broadway home starts leaking around the base or running cold, we can tell you on the spot whether it is worth a part or whether it is time for a new one.
Water source matters too. Plenty of Broadway addresses are on town water through the municipal system, but get a little ways out toward Brocks Gap, Cootes Store and the county roads and you are on a private well. Well water in this part of Rockingham runs hard, and hard water is rough on everything downstream of it. We see the scale it leaves in tank heaters and the crust it builds in older fixtures, and we plumb for it instead of pretending the water is something it is not.
Tell us what is going on and we will give it to you straight. Send us the details or look through recent jobs in the gallery.
Pipe connections in Broadway, Virginia Rockingham CountyWhat we handle for Broadway homes and shops
Water HeatersTank and tankless, repair and replacement. Certified on most brands, so we read the unit, not a sales script. A failed heater on a cold Broadway morning is the call we drop everything for.

Drains and Hydro JettingSlow drains and full blockages cleared. When roots or grease have a line packed solid, hydro jetting scours the inside of the pipe clean instead of just punching a hole through the clog.
See drain clearing
Sewer Line and CameraSewer line repair with camera inspection first, so you see exactly where the break or the root intrusion is before anyone digs. Common in the older parts of town with original clay or cast iron underground.
See sewer inspections
Leak Detection and RepipingWe track down the hidden leak behind the wall or under the slab, then repipe failing galvanized in PEX or copper. The right fix for a lot of Broadway’s older housing stock.

Gas LinesGas line work for ranges, heaters and additions, done to code and tested. The kind of job you want a certified plumber on, not a guess.

Fixtures and RemodelsNew fixtures, kitchen and bath remodels, and the plumbing rough-in behind them. Residential and commercial both, so the shop on Main gets the same treatment as the house off Plains District.

Our crew on site in Broadway, Virginia Rockingham CountyThe drive from Front Royal, and why we run this far south
Our shop is at 266 Grove Farm Road in Front Royal, up at the top of the Valley near the Warren County line. Broadway is a real haul from there, down 81 through the heart of the Shenandoah and off toward the western edge of Rockingham, but we run it because good plumbers who actually answer the phone are not as thick on the ground in the smaller Valley towns as people assume.
That distance is exactly why we are blunt about scheduling. When you call about Broadway we tell you a real window, not a vague “sometime this week,” because we are not going to leave you sitting and we are not going to overpromise. If it is an emergency, a burst line or a sewer backing up into the house, we treat it as one and we come.
Broadway runs with its neighbors, and we cover them the same. Harrisonburg is the county seat just down Route 42, and Bridgewater, Dayton, Elkton, Grottoes and Mount Crawford ring out around it through the rest of Rockingham. If you are in Broadway and your sister in Timberville or your shop in Harrisonburg needs the same work, it is one trip and one crew you already trust.
One more thing worth knowing if you are a Broadway homeowner heading into winter: we take 10 percent off frozen water line repairs. The Valley gets cold, crawlspaces and exterior walls freeze, and a split supply line is a miserable surprise. When it happens, that discount is one less thing to argue about.
We run from our shop at 266 Grove Farm Road in Front Royal out to Broadway, Virginia Rockingham County and the towns around it. Here is where you will find us on the map.

Straight answers, Broadway edition
Do you really come all the way to Broadway from Front Royal?
Yes. We are based at 266 Grove Farm Road in Front Royal and we run the length of the Valley down to Broadway and the rest of Rockingham County regularly. The drive is part of the deal, and we factor it into the window we give you so you are not left guessing.
My old Broadway house has low water pressure. Is it the well or the pipe?
In a lot of the older homes in town it is the galvanized supply line rusting shut from the inside, not the well or the town main. We can tell the difference quickly. If the pipe is the problem, the real fix is a repipe in PEX or copper, and we will tell you that honestly instead of selling you fixtures that will not change anything.
I am on a private well outside town. Can you still work on my plumbing?
Absolutely. Plenty of addresses out toward Brocks Gap and the county roads run on wells, and that water is hard. We handle water heaters, fixtures, filtration questions and repipes for well homes all the time, and we plumb for the water you actually have.
Do you replace tankless water heaters too?
We do. We are certified on most water heater brands, tank and tankless both. We will look at your unit, tell you whether it is a repair or a replacement, and give you the real number either way. No guessing, no upsell you did not ask for.
A pipe froze and split over the winter. What does that cost?
Frozen water line repairs get 10 percent off, which is our standing offer because the Valley winters do this every year. Call us, describe what happened and where, and we will give you a straight quote. If it is actively flooding, treat it as an emergency and call now, day or night.
Is this residential only, or do you cover Broadway businesses too?
Both. We do residential and commercial plumbing, so a shop or office in Broadway gets the same backflow-certified, no-nonsense work as a house. Quotes are free either way.
