Paris sits in the northwest corner of Fauquier County, right at the foot of the Blue Ridge where Ashby Gap drops down out of the mountains. It is one of the smallest incorporated spots in Virginia, a cluster of historic homes and old farmsteads gathered around the crossing of Route 50 and Route 17.
